Welcome! This is a place for engineers, students and makers to ask questions, share projects and help each other.

How to get a good answer
- Say what you are trying to build or solve, not only what went wrong.
- Include numbers and units: loads, speeds, voltages, materials, part names.
- Say what you have already tried or calculated.
- One question per thread, with a title that someone searching later would recognize.

Be a good neighbor
- Be kind and assume good intent. Disagree with ideas, not people.
- No advertising, no copied paid content, and no personal information about other people.
- Safety first. If something could hurt someone (mains power, pressure, lifting, machinery), say so and follow the proper standards. Advice here is general information, not a substitute for a qualified engineer or a proper inspection of your design.
